My Experience

My journey in my career so far has been incredible so let me take you on that journey!

Stable Staff

It all started when I was 14 years old and I worked on Harvey and Sue Smith's race yard where I looked after and cared for the horses learning basic skills.

2 week Placement

I then at 15 years old did a 2 week placement at Howarth Gallery where not only did I focused on client service I also rearranged the shop floor to provide a more astheticlaly pleasing shop.

Bookkeeper

Over around 3 years I was the Bookkeeper for Mick James Associates which set the fundamentals of my skills through teaching me how to deal with deadlines and be accurate.

Volunteer Marketing Assistant

During College I volunteered as a Marketing Assistant where I did tasks from managing the inbox's, the social media and wrote blogs for the website. This volunteering opportunity was where my love for marketing was ignitied.

Stable Staff

Towards the end of college I also was Stable Staff at Crow Wood Equestrian where I helped look after all of the horses, communicate with clients and upkeep the high standards

This is when my journey starts to get exciting!!

Marketing Executive

Just before University I landed a job of Marketing Executive at a marketing agency. This role is how I started using LinkedIn as I managed a number of clients on LinkedIn throught outreach and creating relationships to boost leads.

University and Freelance work

I then went to study Business Management with Marketing at the University of Leeds and during this I was a Freelance Social Media Manager which I loved as I was helping businesses boost their social media and achieve their goals through content, engagement, and outreach.

However, I decided that Univeristy wasn't for me as I wasn't enjoying my course at all and I didn't see how the skills I were developing would help me in the real world. So I decided to go Freelance full-time.

Social Media and Community Manager

Whilst I was Freelancing I got offered the role of Social Media and Community Manager at a Data Privacy Consultancy which I took! In this role I managed all of the social media platforms specifically LinkedIn, grew relationships and our community, did outreach, engagement, and wrote content.

University and Social Media Strategist

6 months into this job I decided to go back to University and re-try and I got a place on the Digital Media course at the University of Leeds which led to me becoming the Social Media Strategist. In this job I create audits, research, look for trends, create strategies, overall organise lead management, team tasks/productivity, and collection of data.

This is where I am today and I can't wait to see what I achieve next!
